When Our Paths Cross

Good morning lovelies! I hope you are having a wonderful day so far!
Today’s song for music Monday somewhat chose itself. My family and I have one big joint Apple Music account, so I have my own personal playlist that I listen to all the time. This go-to playlist currently has 2,238 songs which add up to almost 132 hours of nonstop music. I told you guys I love music! I like to turn the playlist on shuffle and listen to it while doing chores, homework, driving and just about anywhere or anytime. However, it seems lately that one song, in particular, has been playing more often than others. I decided maybe I should write about that song since it has been on my mind a lot here lately. So without further ado, today’s song is Brett Eldredge’s Haven’t Met You.

In one of my recent post, I mentioned my new outlook on my love life. I’m not conducting an investigative search for a man anymore because I now realize how silly I was being. I’m focusing on myself until someone comes along who is actually meant to be in my life for a reason. For the past week or so this track off of Eldredge’s recent album has been randomly playing more and I’d like to think there is a reasoning behind doing so. I’m taking it as a sign that I am in the right mindset now. I normally only post a small portion of the lyrics, however, I feel like all the lyrics should be posted for this one in order to gain the entire experience of the song.

Oh oh
Oh oh
There’s a half a million sunsets I haven’t got to show you
Don’t ask me how I know, but I know they steal your breath
And I can almost feel the feeling that you’re gonna give me,
Especially when you kiss me like no one ever has
It’s so real I can’t explain it, keep me waiting
You could be in Dallas or L.A., thirty thousand feet upon a plane
You could be the dream that I’ve always chased, every second, every place,
Always looking for your face and I know it’s one I’ll never forget
So I guess I haven’t met you yet
I saw two people talking in a corner booth cafe,
All looking so in love thinking that could be us someday
I don’t know what you’re doing, I don’t know where you are,
But I swear girl when I meet ya, you already have my heart
You could be in Dallas or L.A., thirty thousand feet up on a plane
You could be the dream that I’ve always chased, every second, every place,
Always looking for your face and I know it’s one I’ll never forget
So I guess I haven’t met you yet
Not yet I still haven’t got to hold you
Not yet I’m still tossing around this bed
Not yet I want you in my arms and out of my head
You could be in Dallas or L.A., thirty thousand feet up on a plane
Wherever you are girl I’m on my way, every second, every place,
Always looking for your face and I know it’s one I’ll never forget
So I guess I haven’t met you yet
I guess I haven’t met you yet
Oh I haven’t met you yet
I haven’t met you, I haven’t met you, I haven’t met you
Oh oh, uh uh
Oh oh, uh uh
Oh oh, uh uh
Oh oh, uh uh
Oh oh
Oh oh

For me, this song provides me with a sense of hope, anticipation, and serenity. It reassures me that there is someone out there who will one day enjoy sunsets with me. We each have our own paths in life we must take. Eventually, ours will lead us to each other at the perfect time. Until then, I’ll be doing everything I need to in order to prepare for that special moment.
If you are feeling lost within the romantic spectrum, give this song a listen.

Love,

M
